Blinson family 2On Sunday, November 19, Musella Baptist Church voted in a called conference to call Rev. Philip Blinson to be our pastor. Pastor Philip, his wife, Holly, and children, Annika, Alexa, and Asher will be moving to a new home in Lizella just after the first of the year. Pastor Philip’s first Sunday to preach will be January 14, 2018. Please be in prayer for him and his family as they leave one church family to join with ours. Pray the house buying goes smoothly, the moving is not too difficult, that they get settled in their new home easily, and that they find a warm Musella Baptist welcome as they begin their ministry here in January.

Great things are happening here at Musella Baptist Church, a church that is made up of loving, caring, and dedicated people who have a heart for God and who love others. With a legacy of faith for over 125 years, MBC exhibits a strong desire to be salt and light in our homes and community. May God bless you in your journey of faith.

MSM Riptide

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me.” Children matter to God, and they are a most important part of the ministry of MBC.

Musella Baptist Backpack Ministry

Our Backpack Ministry is currently supplying 50 students with food for the weekends.

This is an amazing opportunity to show love to our youngest neighbors by meeting practical needs.

While the need is immediate, it will also be ongoing and will require our church’s attention over the long-haul.

How can you support and get involved in this ministry?

1. Donate money regularly to the Backpack Ministry Fund for use in purchasing bulk food items from The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank and discount stores; a centralized purchase ensures efficiency, economy, and uniformity in food items to be delivered to students.

2. Bring items from the “Backpack Ministry Food List” to the Family Ministry Building Fellowship Hall.

3. Volunteer time organizing or delivering food–contact the church office, 478-836-2936 or

4. Pray for:  The children of Crawford County Elementary to have their nutritional and spiritual needs met; the staff at Crawford County Elementary School as they care for and educate these children; and our volunteers to share Christ’s love with the children they meet.
